As you have no doubt noticed, Williams’
alumni publication has undergone a
transformation, with an eye toward serving the
wider Williams community of alumni, parents,
and friends of the school.
While the precise historical start date for the
alumni magazine is unclear, what we know for
certain is that its pages have chronicled The
Williams School story for decades. Over the
years it has undergone a number of aesthetic
and even name changes, from The Williams
Ambassador to simply the Ambassador and now
to Williams Magazine.
For all that has changed in this publication
and indeed in the world around us, the
stories told within these pages continue to
demonstrate a vibrant, connected school full
of fascinating faculty, stellar students, and
As an ongoing feature of the magazine,
Williams’ Alumni Office will unearth
treasures from the school’s past, whether
photos, memorabilia or ephemera from
school years long gone and share a related
trivia challenge. Winners will receive
coveted Williams School swag!
An Alumni Challenge
This inaugural trivia challenge is something of a quest to see if we can collect the oldest known copy of Williams’
alumni magazine (whatever its title!) The
Alumni Office has an archive of past issues,
but we would love to fill in the gaps. Our oldest
archived copy is from 1985. Please contact
