To finalize our winter season The Williams School Swim team won the CISAC conference for the second straight year, easily beating our rivals Hamden Hall and Chase Collegiate. Our Girls Varsity Basketball team also tasted success at the end of the season, winning the Blue Division of the CISAC Conference Tournament. Sophomore Marissa Peck was voted as a New England NEPSAC All-Star, and played well in the All-Star game in March. Our Boys Varsity Basketball Team finished 4th in their conference, and lost to Watkinson (the highest-rated playoff team in New England) in the tournament. All of our JV and Middle School teams enjoyed some great success during the season as well. Thank you to all of the parents, fans, teachers, players and coaches for a great winter season! The Blues are now in the full swing of the spring season. We have gotten a few games in between the raindrops, and Williams have been quite successful so far. We offer more sports in spring than in any other season, so a large majority of Williams students are participating in some form or another. Please make sure you check out our full athletic calendar on the website, and cheer us on to victory this spring. Please also mark your calendars for Dauer Spring Sports Day, April 19. The first game (Boys JV Baseball) starts at 9:30 in the morning at the Athletic Complex, followed by both Boys and Girls JV Lacrosse at 10:00. Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Lacrosse and Girls Varsity Lacrosse all start at 12:00. Finally, our Varsity Softball team will play at 1:30 at Toby May Field in New London. Come out and cheer on our teams! See you at the games, GO BLUES! |
