Again Williams came out strong now leading 28-3 by the end of the first half. In the third and fourth quarters Williams had baskets by Jack Fader and Nick Smith, both coming off the bench. Williams bench was out- rebounded by a ton in the 3rd and 4th but stayed stron and went on to a 52-18 victory. written by Rashan Young

The Williams Middle School Boys Basketball team reached the midpoint of their season with an outstanding 63-32 victory over St. Bernards on Thursday Jan 14. Ten different players scored in the voctory as all 14 members of the team got solid playing time. The team has compiled an overall record of 5-3. The remaining schedule features rematches against Kelly Middle School, Bennie Dover and Country School, St. John's and Pine Point plus Clark Lane Middle School, Independent Day School, The Foote School, and Rectory. Our eight grade of Adam Jacey, Drew Morse, Nick Smith, Hunt Welch and Rudy Harvey has provided a lot of solid leadership. We will miss the outstanding play of guard of Frankie Lee who broke his foot during the Country School game. Outstanding 7th graders Deante Bruton, Rashan Young and CJ Parker have emerged with strong play in the starting group. A second group of seventh graders led by Jack Fader and Zach Maheu and Liam Tresnan includes Jack o'Connor, Noah Antiput and Ruben Deglin has progressed nicely and have contributed valuable minutes to some 8grade games and well as dominating in their own games. The team has jelled nicely as a group and competed very hard in spite of a very demanding schedule this season.
