Swim Team takes 3rd in Providence Cup

The Williams School swim teams traveled to Roger Williams University this past weekend to swim in the SENE Championship meet, and came home with two 3rd place finishes! Portsmouth Abbey and Moses Brown finished ahead of Williams, but the Williams' swimmers gave their best effort of the season, and broke some school records, as well as a SENE Conference record. Congratulations to the relay team of Samantha Linhares/Grace Linhares/Marissa Lynch/Catie Beggins for setting a new school record in the 200 Medley relay. Congratulations as well to Adam Collins for winning the 50 Freestyle with a time of 24.33, and the 100 Freestyle with a time of 59.03, and to Samantha Linhares for winning the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:18.14.

Lastly, congratulations to Caius Mergy who set a school record and a conference record in the 100 Breaststroke with a winning time of 1:04.69. Great job swimmers, and good luck this Wednesday at the CISAC Conference meet!
