Laura Marcinek is now a reporter for the University Desk at The Daily Tar Heel, the student newspaper at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her recent story about an anti-war protest on campus won her the Hearst Journalism Award contest at UNC for excellent college level journalism. The piece also has been submitted for consideration for the national Hearst Journalism Award.

Laura will be interning at Bloomberg L.P. in New York City this summer.
