Scenes from Senior Day 2009

After a clever fake-out on Monday morning, seniors surprised the school with the good news a little after 8:00 Wednesday morning...It's Senior Day!

Making their own tradition, the seniors decided to reveal their yearbook dedication first thing in the day rather than waiting for an end-of-day assembly. The Class of 2009 dedicates their Legenda to the members of the kitchen and maintenance staff who do so much behind the scenes to make daily life at school even better.

Students and faculty then boarded buses for Strawberry Park in Preston, CT for a day of fun in the sun. Between the faculty/student softball game, dancing to live music courtesy of David Martineau ’06 and his band, a giant bounce slide and the park's many amenities, there was something for everyone.

Head of School Mark Fader and Mark Bokoff ’83 were among those manning the grills and many remarked on how well the senior class had organized the day.

In addition to the few scenes below, student photographers were snapping shots all day: Slideshow from Elma Burnham ’09
