Athletic Director

The Williams School seeks an Athletic Director beginning July 1 for the 2017-2018 school year. This is a 12-month administrative position devoted to supervising coaches in all three athletic seasons, an assistant athletic director and an athletic trainer. The director will coordinate and schedule all team games at practices and supervise the athletic facilities on campus, which includes two gyms, locker rooms, and a fitness center.   In addition the athletic director will oversee a 200+ acre athletic complex with three fields, a locker room, an outdoor pavilion and a cross-country trail.  Additional duties will include directing the health, physical education and wellness programs in middle and upper school. Applicants must be energetic, enthusiastic and willing to serve on an eight-member senior administrative team. Previous athletic and administrative experience in an independent school setting is preferred. Spanish

The Williams School Modern Language Department seeks a .8 Spanish teacher (four sections) beginning in the 2017-2018 academic year. The aim is for the position to become full time (five sections) within a year or two. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Middle School Spanish (level one) and also have the ability to teach up to level three in the Upper School. Applicants must be enthusiastic, energetic, and willing to teach as a member of a team in conjunction with other department members. The position requires skill in fostering active and interactive learning to engage students fully in the language acquisition process as well as experience in the use of technology to enhance learning. The position also serves as a student advisor and participates fully in the life of the school. Previous experience teaching in a school setting and either a major in Spanish or state certification in Spanish required; experience in an independent school preferred.
