Student Handbook
As you now know or will know soon, excellence both in academics and in citizenship is highly prized at Williams. We want to help you know the best that has been thought and said and to act in the noblest ways. Every year, we name a theme to focus our attention and discussions throughout the year. For the past few years, I have named themes that helped us build and serve our community: Stewardship, Responsibility and Resourcefulness, Building for the Future, and Civility. For the 200708 school year, we will focus on two activities that are central to your learning and your personal growth: Reading and Writing. At School, most of our time together is spent shaping your academic skills and mental fitness. We always emphasize and rely on your emotional maturity and personal discipline; we have assemblies and special programs that give us all ideas to consider. Yet our learning and the values we share are developed by communicating with each other. The Handbook is your guide to life inside the School, both the opportunities and the expectations. Read it and keep it available throughout the year. I wish you a year of expanding knowledge, a year of involvement, and a year of personal satisfaction. My door is always open to you. Sincerely, Charlotte L. Rea |
