At The Williams School, students in grades 6–12 experience a personalized education designed to prepare them for college, lifelong learning, and meaningful participation in an evolving world. Through close relationships with faculty, rigorous academics, and distinctive opportunities such as the College Acceleration and Interdisciplinary Certificate Programs, students are encouraged to pursue their interests and grow with confidence and independence. Across the Connecticut College and Bloomingdale campuses, learning extends beyond the classroom through experiential education, athletics, the arts, and community engagement, giving every student the opportunity to follow a path shaped by their goals, strengths, and aspirations.
Located on the Connecticut College campus in New London, Williams combines college resources with the close-knit community of an independent day school. Through the College Acceleration Program, students in grades 11–12 can take Connecticut College courses before graduation.
Less than two miles from our Connecticut College campus, Bloomingdale is a 200-acre hub for athletics, learning, and community. It features turf and grass fields, miles of trails, a community building, and the Rotolo Tennis Center, with continued growth creating new opportunities for students.

I think the teachers here do a really good job of teaching you not what to think, but how to think—how to think analytically and critically, and develop your own thoughts and ideas."
"I think taking a free course at Connecticut College through the New London Scholars program was really cool. Part of the reason I didn’t do the College Acceleration Program was because I wasn’t sure I could afford it, but through New London Scholars, I was able to take Solar System Astronomy and use the observatory telescope, which was pretty neat."
