Meet with Mrs. Harris or Mrs. Clark to discuss your Senior Year classes and post-high school plans.
Begin to prepare a list of schools that you plan to research over the spring and summer months. (Visit, read, surf the net, or talk with people about various schools of interest. The more information you have about a college, the better decision you will be able to make.)
The College Search via the Web
Start with college search programs. They will ask you a variety of questions about your preferences-location, size, academic programs, cost, etc. After providing preferences you will get a long list of colleges, many of which you may never heard about.
Return to the college search programs to get basic information about colleges on the list which look promising.
Go to the individual college’s website to get more detailed information about its programs, academics and campus life.
It is very easy to contact a college academic department, admission office or athletic program by email to indicate interest or to learn more about aspects of the school. You can get your questions answered via email.
Don’t forget about your free access to MyRoad.Com. Your password, etc. is on your PSAT score report. This can be a great place to get started.
