How To Apply

APPLICATION PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in applying to The Williams School!

Prospective students and families looking to join the Williams community are encouraged to apply by the First Round Application deadline of February 10th. By meeting this deadline, applicants receive our Admission decision by March 10th and are considered first for: Merit Scholarships, Need Based Tuition Assistance, and Course Selection. After the First Round deadline, applicants are considered on a Rolling Admission basis.  

STEPS TO APPLY

1. INQUIRE: To receive information about Williams and instructions on setting up your
myW Applicant portal, please submit an Online Inquiry. We also encourage you to attend our upcoming Admissions events to learn more about the Williams experience. 

2. SCHEDULE YOUR CAMPUS TOUR & INTERVIEW: Please be advised that a Campus Tour and Interview are required components of the Application process. We also encourage students to spend a Day on Campus to meet our teachers and students and to experience our community first-hand. Please note that prospective students must submit their Online Application before spending the Day on Campus. To schedule your appointment, please contact the Admissions Office at 860-443-5333. 

3. COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION: Submit your Online Application via your myW Applicant portal or through EMA's SAO.

4. SUBMIT TRANSCRIPT & TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS: Your Request for Transcript and English and Math Teacher Recommendation forms are available via your myW  Applicant portal or through EMA's  SAO.  

5. TAKE YOUR ADMISSIONS TEST:

Middle School (grades 6-8) 
All Middle School Applicants must take the Williams Middle School Admissions Test (WMST). Many applicants choose to take this test during their visit to Williams for their tour, interview, and day of classes. To register for the WMST, please contact our Admissions Office at 860.443.5333. Williams also accepts EMA's Middle School SSAT

Upper School (grades 9-12)

Williams has a "test optional" policy for Upper School applicants. For students who choose to take and submit official SSAT scores, they may have their scores submitted directly to Williams by listing The Williams School (code 8220) as a score recipient. We will also consider PSAT and SAT scores accordingly.
