"I joined the Williams School Varsity Sailing Team where I was super lucky to be coached by Prescott Littlefield. The Williams School Sailing Team not only helped me grow as a sailor and as a racer, but also made me appreciate the sport more. I am so grateful to have had those four years on the team. Williams Sailing definitely shaped me into the sailor that I am today. Coach Littlefield taught me so much about sailing and racing; I still think about things he taught me in high school every time I go sailing.
When I got to college, I joined the University of Connecticut Sailing Team, where I am a top skipper. In April and May of 2018, I was lucky enough to be picked to try out for the Newport Bermuda Race Mudratz Youth Offshore Sailing Team based in Stonington, CT. I was chosen for the team mid-May and the race started on June 15, 2018. Our team not only won our class, but was 7th out of 150+ boats in our division, and also won the Stephens Brothers Youth Award for best performing youth boat."
