Peter Emanuel's Local History class recently visited the Nathaniel B. Palmer House in Stonington after having studied its history, particularly with regard to Captain Nathaniel Palmer and his discovery of Antarctica.
Museum Curator Beth Moore provided the students with an informative and wide-ranging tour.
"It was fun, because we got to see how people lived back then," Julia Cote '25 said. "We learned a lot, and it was cool to see what the children's rooms were like. The ceilings were really low. I could barely stand up in it."
