Our tour group landed in Malaga and enjoyed a senic drive to our first city, Granada.
While our tour really began with an early departure from school due to a storm, our first day in Spain had us flying into Malaga and enjoying a scenic bus ride to Granada. Our guide, Christina, shared some interesting aspects of our drive through olive and orange groves with senic mountains topped with snow in the distance. She reviewed our schedule for the next few days and one of the highlights will be a Flamenco dance lesson tomorrow and then a Flamenco show.
Once settled into our hotel we enjoyed a traditional Spanish pork dinner and we were serenaded by a "Tuna" musical group - Spanish college musicians looking to share music. The group set off on a nighttime walk to the center of Granada, enjoying the sounds and sights of the city.
Tomorrow we have a busy day with a City Challenge and a visit to the Royal Chapel before heading to Flamenco dancing and dinner.
