It is important that the school have one or two emergency contacts, for each student, that are not parents. In case of emergency, we will always contact the parent(s) first but if they are not available, we would then contact someone designated as an emergency contact in our database. Please log on to myW and update your emergency contacts.
In the event of an emergency or severe weather, the school’s early dismissal, delayed opening, or closing will be posted on the school’s website. In addition, an alert notification will go out to parents via email. We will also broadcast on these TV stations: WVIT, Channel 30; WTNH, Channel 8; Fox 61; and WFSB, Channel 3. You may also sign up for additional weather/school closing alerts through WFSB through their website.
For early dismissal, students will be sent home by means of their regular car pools or buses. It is possible for students who do not ordinarily ride home on area buses or with other parents or student drivers to do so, but the School must be contacted.
Parents should not expect telephone notification of early dismissals, delayed openings, or closings. The School’s outgoing voicemail message will announce the closing or delay, as will the School website.
