6th Grade Local History Class Visits Prudence Crandall Museum

Mr. Emanuel's sixth grade Local History class recently visited the Prudence Crandall Museum in Canterbury after having studied Connecticut's state heroine in class.
Prudence Crandall was an educator and activist who worked to bring gender and racial equality to education during the Civil War antebellum. The museum's curator Joan DiMartino and docent Susan Zimmerman provided the students with informative guided tours throughout both floors of this National Historic Landmark.
