Summer Sticks - Evening Lacrosse Camp
6:00-8:00PM
For students in Grades 3-10
Nightly sessions will stress individualized instruction in stick handling, shooting, and offensive/defensive play. Each session will promote a player’s development through a comprehensive teaching progression allowing the campers to learn every aspect of the game. By week's end, players will participate in team games. Register

MICROS and WIRED Robotics
Williams will be offering robotics camps in the morning and afternoon for middle and elementary school students. M.I.C.R.O. (Middle School Introduction to Computing, Robotics, and Object Oriented Programming) is designed for students in Grades 6-8. W.I.R.E.D. (Williams Introduction to Robotics and Engineering Design) is for students in Grades 3-5

M.I.C.R.O. Morning Session: Loop the Loop, 9:00-11:30AM
Participants will work individually and in teams to use looping algorithms within a variety of different software development environments to solve problems related to robotics control (Lego Mindstorms), 3D animation (Alice 3.0), and gaming (Greenfoot). They’ll have so much fun that they won’t realize they’re learning to code in the Java programming language!

M.I.C.R.O. Afternoon Session: There is a Method to the Fun-ness, 12:30-3:00PM
Participants will work individually and in teams to refine a program shell by developing individual modules (methods) within a variety of different software development environments to solve problems related to robotics control (Lego Mindstorms), 3D animation (Alice 3.0), and gaming (Greenfoot). They’ll have so much fun that they won’t realize they’re learning to code in the Java programming language!

W.I.R.E.D. Morning Session:  The A-MAZE-ing Race - 9:00-11:30AM
Participants will work in pairs to design and program an autonomous robot capable of navigating various mazes using an assortment of modular sensors. The week will culminate in the A-MAZE-ing race where team robots will compete in different challenging events. Everyone will win with this fun educational experience!

W.I.R.E.D. Afternoon: Battle-Bots - 12:30-3:00PM
Participants will work in pairs to design, program, and/or control robots that compete in various head-to-head challenges. Every detail of the design, from the robot's center of gravity to its power to weight ratio will determine how each will fare against the other. Everyone wins as participants learn valuable engineering fundamentals while having fun!
