Enviro is a performance of Site Specific works, created and performed by students in the theatre and dance classes, under the direction of Mrs. Jane Martineau and Ms. Bo Parish.
A Site Specific piece is inspired by the design, architecture, setting, natural elements and function of the place chosen for the performance piece.
Enviro, which takes place every other spring, is based on the work of director, choreographer, and teacher Stephen Koplowitz, who was a guest artist at Williams in the fall of 2004. This year marked the eighth Enviro production at Williams. Student volunteers acted as guides for the audience, directing them in groups on their journey through the event, from locations such as the Student Center to the gymnasium, music room, or sidewalk. Many thanks to Ethan Shao '20 for photographing the event.
