Williams Students Featured in Professional Photography Competition
The Advanced Digital Imaging students entered their first professional (non-student) juried photo competition at the Mystic Museum of Art titled Photo Show 40.
The show was open to artists with an emphasis on original imagery. This competition is celebrating its fortieth year and had over 500 submissions this year. Students enrolled in the Advanced Digital Imaging courses are required to take photos over the summer. These photos are than submitted to professional competitions throughout the year because the work was created without tutelage or guidance. This year's juror was Annu Palakunnathu Matthew. For more information on her and on the show, please go to the museum's website. The exhibition runs from September 28 through November 10, 2018. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 4th, from 5:30 - 7:00PM. The museum is located at 9 Water Street, Mystic, CT. The gallery is open daily from 11am-5pm.
