Next Tuesday, October 9th, Williams will be hosting over 100 colleges and universities in our two gyms.
All Williams students will have the opportunity to explore the various visiting schools to get to know them better. In most cases, those who are coming evaluate Williams’ student applications, and a stop at a table to chat with an admissions representative can be helpful for exhibiting “demonstrated interest.” The College Counseling department has sent both students and advisors special packets to guide students in how to best approach the fair. Since college representatives will be looking for students to share their contact information, it is recommended that students bring a pen with them. We also recommend that students put their name, address, email contact, potential major, and extra-curricular interests on address labels in advance so as to minimize the time needed to spend at each table and move quickly to the next one. Additionally, we recommend that students take along their backpacks to hold whatever brochures they receive from each college. Students should be free to ask questions and explore schools, majors, and other areas about which they might want to learn more.
The Williams School aims to foster the intellectual, moral, aesthetic, and physical development of young women and men in preparation for college, a lifetime of learning, and active participation in a changing society.
